The mid-summer solstice brings with it the eve of Sant Joan, a magical occasion which the city of Barcelona celebrates intensely. As ever, the traditional Canigó flame arrives in the city on 23 June ready to light the bonfires around the city for Sant Joan.

After that the city celebrates the liveliest night of the year with parties in the streets and on the beach, bonfires, traditional cake and numerous activities in iconic locations and other corners of the city.
