The 9th edition of the Cursa i Caminada Lluís Companys is being held on Saturday, 1 October. This walk and fun run takes place at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium and pays homage to the 1936 People’s Olympiad, as well as the president of the government of Catalonia who was executed by a Francoist firing squad. The event consists of an 8 km run, which sets off from the stadium in Montjuïc at 9.30 am. If you’d rather walk the route, this means setting off from the same point 30 minutes earlier. The activity is open to all-comers.
