The Fundació Aspasim is proposing just that as it organises the third edition of the Milla de Sarrià, a solidarity run with people with intellectual disabilities.
That’s what the Fundació Aspasim is proposing, the entity organising the Milla de Sarrià for the third time. The mile-long run is a solidarity event for people with intellectual disabilities. This year the run is on 23 October in Pg. Reina Elisenda de Montcada in Barcelona and covers 1,609 metres, exactly one mile.
The event is open to all-comers, paying special attention to people with intellectual disabilities. In contrast to other events on the Catalan sporting calendar, the idea is not for the collective to form a special group which differs to the rest of the runners, but to completely integrate them from start to finish. Plenty of volunteers are getting ready to take part and support the initiative, so why not join in too?
