El Born CCM is organising this tour to learn about the neighbourhood’s commercial history.

el_born_sis_segles_de_progres_comercial-760x428Guilds, artisans, industry, tourism. These are just some of the aspects which have shaped the neighbourhood of El Born into one of the main centres for commerce and the economy in Barcelona from the 14th century through to the present day.

The economic vitality of the neighbourhood has left its mark on its streets and heritage. This tour, which goes from La Seca to the Mercat del Born and the Parc de la Ciutadella, taking in the temple of Santa Maria del Mar and La Llotja, is a chance for visitors to discover how Barcelona has become a major economic capital thanks to the work of its citizens.
