‘Els Tres Tombs’ in Sant Andreu

The tradition of ‘Els Tres Tombs’ returns to the district of Sant Andreu in January with the blessing of animals and the procession.

The Sant Antoni Abat carriage, jennets and other animals, and a wide array of carts and carriages take to the street in a procession around the old town of Sant Andreu de Palomar, accompanied by lancers and music groups. According to tradition, the procession does three laps of the most central streets on the route and stops in front of the Sant Andreu de Palomar church, where animals, participants and local residents are all blessed.
