Barcelona’s model of commerce is unique, as are the establishments which have formed part of it over the course of more than a century. Today, these iconic establishments, with their own brand and character, are a living testimony to our historical memory of commerce, which must undoubtedly be preserved.
The exhibition ‘De tota la vida. El comerç emblemàtic de Barcelona’[a lifetime of iconic commerce in Barcelona] is promoted by the Councillor’s Office for Commerce and Markets and brought to life by the photographer Esteve Vilarrúbies. The display aims to highlight the role of these important establishments for the city and broaden knowledge about them among residents and visitors to Barcelona.
