The Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, directed by Gustavo Dudamel, is embarking on a memorable musical event: the performance of all of Beethoven’s symphonies. These singular compositions meant a musical revolution at the time they were created and performing them all in their entirety calls for the effort and talent of very fine musicians.
On Sunday, 12 March, the first and second symphonies will be performed at 12 noon, with the third and fourth following at 7 pm. On Monday, 13 March, the fifth and sixth will be performed at 8.30 pm, with the seventh and eight being performed at the same time on Tuesday 14. Finally, on Wednesday 15, the feat will culminate with a performance of the ninth symphony at 8.30 pm.
