July sees El Grec fill Barcelona with theatre, music, dance and circus. The festival is over forty years old and has become the main cultural attraction in the city in the summer.
The numerous spaces which make up the festival circuit have been grouped together under the names of Grec Montjuïc and Grec Ciutat. They offer a variety of proposals, with itineraries which adapt to spectators’ tastes: Greece at the Grec Festival, Grec_explorers, Grec_complicity, Grec_summer nights, Grec_with the family, Grec_selection and Grec_creations.
During the festival, the city will also be hosting parallel sections with different proposals and activities relating to the festival and offered at locations in different city neighbourhoods: Grec_spectators, Grec_creation, Grec_activities and Grec_training.
