There’s no let up in culture and leisure proposals in the city in August. There are all sorts of options, from having fun at local festivals in neighbourhoods such as Gràcia or Sants to any of the numerous concerts offered by the Mas i Mas festival.

The Circuit Festival is another option, as are open-air film sessions like the classic Gandules al CCCB. It’s also a great time to visit museums, and more than anything, to enjoy sports at beaches and municipal swimming pools.
