The exceptional Austrian violinist Thomas Zehetmair will be offering one of the great violin concerts programmed by L’Auditori this season. Under the direction of Jan Willem de Vriend, the musician will be performing Beethoven’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra .
The concert also includes Schubert’s Overture, D. 591, Op. 170, in C Major and the Cendrillon suite by Barcelona’s Ferran Sor, performed at the inauguration of Moscow’s Bolshoi Theatre in 1825. This was Sor’s own version of Cinderella, his wife, Félicité Hullin, collaborating as lead dancer and choreographer.
