Saturday 13 October sees the return of the Post Industrial Fashion Show (PIFS) at the Nau Bostik, a free event open to the general public and promoted by the non-profit association Post Industrial Community, with the support of Barcelona City Council, Ecoembes, Humana and Cafès Novell, and showcasing an innovative and responsible means of fashion design.
PIFS is a different kind of fashion event, a place to meet open-minded people enthusiastic about fashion, design, dance and diversity. The second edition of the event puts new avant-garde designs using recycled materials on the catwalk. Spectators will be able to enjoy a different show, with live music, as well as meeting the designers in the display and networking area.
The term ‘post-industrial’ suggests a new age whereby the fashion sector has to reinvent itself, moving towards more inclusive models and cutting the social and environmental impact of the production chain.
