Christmas lights

This year’s Christmas lights will stay on for an extra half an hour in line with opening hours at shops. The idea is to add vitality to the city’s network of commerce, and at the same time, for the lights to go off earlier on ordinary days to respect people’s hours of rest.

The Christmas lights will come on every day at 6 pm. From Sunday to Thursday they will go off at 11 pm, and on Fridays and Saturdays at midnight. On Christmas Eve the lights will stay on until 1 am, and on Christmas Day until midnight. On New Year’s Eve and on the eve of Three Kings Day the lights will stay on until 2 am.

Christmas lights will also go up in shopping areas with less of a commercial network and less density, promoting local commerce in large shopping hubs and less central neighbourhoods alike.
