The sixth edition of the ‘Tast a la Rambla’ Barcelona Gastronomy Week is set to turn the avenue into a showcase for the finest city cuisine.
In the Rambla de Santa Mònica, the central venue for the event, forty of the most important restaurants and cake shops from the city (including Michelin-star holders such as Enoteca, La Barra de Carles Abellan and Xerta Restaurant) will be offering their food in tapa versions costing 4 euros. This year’s event also features a new section on metropolitan cuisine.
As ever, the programme also offers free activities (cooking displays, workshops and tastings) at the Arts Santa Mònica.
This year’s event includes presentations from the three winning restaurants from the second edition of the Barcelona Restaurant Award: Granja Elena, El Tomás de Sarrià and En Ville.
A special family zone will be set up below the terrace at the Arts Santa Mònica with the display ‘Som gent de profit’, to raise awareness among children about food waste.
At the bottom of La Rambla there will also be music from Músics de Carrer de Ciutat Vella and from Raval’s Band.
